Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.
The Polish Tourism Organization is a member of the meetings industry associations: International Congress and Convention Association and Union of International Associations.
14.10.2015 Sylwia Banaszewska and Magda Kondas with the nomination of the President of the Polish Tourist Organization has been awarded "For Services to Tourism" by the Minister of Sport and Tourism.

Wrocław has been selected as a host for the IFLA World Library and Information Congress in August 2017. The decision was officially announced at the closing session of this year’s Congress in Cape Town (South Africa). The conference is expected to attract 4,000 participants.
On 26-28 August 2015 Warsaw EXPO XXI Centre hosted ICCA Central European Chapter meeting. ICCA CEC was attended by over 60 representatives of the meetings industry from the region of Central Europe.
We are delighted to announce the composition of the council selected for 2016-2019. The annual task of the Council is to select the Ambassadors who contribute to selecting Poland as the venue of congresses and conferences in an outstanding manner.
The Association of Conference and Congress organizers in Poland and the City of Katowice with partners are convening an international conference in Katowice on 17-18th September as an event to accompany the Gala of Polish Congress Ambassadors. This year’s conference will focus on the influence of science, business and new technologies on the development of the conference-congress sector in Silesia, and examining to what extent the interaction between activities in these sectors conforms to sustainable development principles.
In the days 11-13.08.2015 in Warsaw held a site inspection for European Microfinance Network representatives, who chose Warsaw as a destination for its annual conference in 2016. The previous EMN Annual Conference held in Dublin (2015), or in Lisbon (2014) and focused 250 delegates from all over Europe.
October 13th, 2015, during the IMEX America the Convention Industry Council (CIC) will be illuminating the night brighter than the Vegas strip, as it unveils the new format for the Hall of Leaders and Pacesetter Awards celebration. Second one will be presented to PCB POT representative!
On 08-09.10.2015 the first edition of Tourism and Events Expo (TEE) will take place at Expo Arena, Exhibition and Conference Centre of Warmia and Mazury in Ostroda. This event is a modern approach to the market of tourist services with a business formula (B2B), addressed to the tourism industry and MICE. Thanks to a large group of exhibitors and visitors from abroad, it will be a great promotion of Poland on the international stage.
The Board Development Committee has completed its work and has developed a slate of officers and directors for the 2016 Board of Directors to present to the membership. Given the governance changes MPI made in the last year this was a challenging task for the committee to complete, as MPI faced the task of reducing the size of the board, while sorting through a deep pool of potential candidates. All the more gratifying that among professionals from all over the world is a Polish man.
Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organisation, together with the Polish Conference and Congress Association, for the second time conducted the competition for organising the largest congress in Poland in the previous year.
The Poland Convention Bureau PTO is the first Polish institution to be awarded with the "Accredited Destination Marketing Organization" certificate granted by DMAI (Destination Marketing Association International).
The starters for almost 1500 guests were served in only 9 minutes! It took almost 500 kilograms of duck to prepare the main dish. To handle the event 150 people were hired. There were professional cooks, waiters, bartenders, security guards and hostesses. 3 huge trucks transported tableware, porcelain and glassware.
On June 1- 2 in Novotel Centrum in Warsaw the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation (HOPE) conference took place. Over 200 European hospitals directors took part in this events.
The next edition of IMEX, the international meetings industry trade fair was held on 19-21 May in Frankfurt. As each year, Poland Convention Bureau of Polish Tourist Organisation has organised the Polish national booth, where regional Convention Bureaus, companies operating in the organisation of meetings and conference facilities presented their offers.
The Convention Industry Council (CIC) revealed the names of the 2015 inductees into the CIC Hall of Leaders and the 4th class of Pacesetter Award recipients. Kinga Socko, Conference Specialist, Poland Convention Bureau PTO is among three finalists Pacesetter Award.
