Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organisation, together with the Polish Conference and Congress Association, for the second time conducted the competition for organising the largest congress in Poland in the previous year.

Mazurkas Travel has been selected from among the largest implementations proposed by the PCO (Professional Congress Organizer) with the recommendation of the PCB PTO. The key criteria, taken into consideration in the competition, were the number of congress participants, their structure by nationality and types of services provided by the event organiser.

Among the competition entries, the largest event was the 90th Congress of the European Orthodontic Society – EOS, organised on 18-22.06.2014 in Warsaw.
Poland has been selected as the venue for organising that event for the first time in the more than one hundred years history of the EOS Congresses and was the third host from Eastern Europe, behind the Czech Republic and Slovenia. The Congress in Warsaw gathered a record-breaking number of 2,500 people from 72 countries of the world and was a significant logistic challenge. The responsibility for all preparations in the form of: registration of the participants, accommodation, logistics of the venue, Mazurkas catering, social events programme, tourism programme and transport was held by Mazurkas Congress & Conference Management – specialised department within Mazurkas Travel, which for more than 20 years has been involved in comprehensive organisation and service of congresses, conferences, conventions or other events of this type for representatives of medicine, science, politics.

The formal presentation of the competition diploma for Mazurkas Travel will accompany the Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala, which will be held on 17 September in Katowice.
