Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.
The Polish Tourism Organization is a member of the meetings industry associations: International Congress and Convention Association and Union of International Associations.
As is the case each year, Polish Tourism Organisation is the organiser of the Polish national stand (G450) which will showcase the offer of both national (Poland Convention Bureau PTO) and regional convention bureaux, companies involved in professional meeting planning, as well as conference venues.
Convention bureaux representing Polish cities participated in a project inspiring the report on Contemporary Roles of Convention Bureaux and the Competitiveness of Polish Cities in the International Meetings Market.
A session of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme Chapter, entrusted with the task of selecting this year’s laureates of the Programme, was held in the central office of Polish Tourism Organisation on 8 May.
The global ICCA Statistics Report 2017, published by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) on 7 May, ranked Poland 18th (out of 110 countries) with 216 meetings.
PolandPops Meetings & Incentives received the Professional Congress Organiser and Professional Incentive Travel Organiser certificates for 2018-2019, thus joining the group of organisers recommended by Poland Convention Bureau PTO.
Each year Poland Convention Bureau Polish Tourism Organisation, in cooperation with regional convention bureaux and recommended organisers of congresses and incentive travel, gathers data on the organisation of meetings and events in Poland.
The already sixth edition of Meetings Week Poland – five days of educational and promotional events of the Polish meetings sector – will take place on 19-23 March 2018.
The Polish meetings sector was showcased at the Meeting Matters industry workshop held at Villa Empain in Brussels for more than 70 association representatives (planners of conferences and congresses) from the Belgian market.

A familiarisation trip for 7 representatives of the Italian meetings industry was held in Warsaw on 22-24 September. Arranged by Polish Tourist Organisation in Rome, Poland Convention Bureau PTO, Warsaw Marriott Hotel, Sheraton Warsaw Hotel, Westin Warsaw Hotel and Bristol, The Luxury Collection Hotel, as well as a coordinator of the trip – Poland Concept DMC (part of ICP Group), the event was devised to introduce the guests to the capital’s offer and business potential.
Convention Bureau – Wrocławhas been carrying on the local Wrocław Congress Ambassador’s Program for years. The Members of the Program attract congresses, conferences and symposia to the city. Due to this, Wrocław can present its conference and congress potential on the European and global arena. Among the members of the Wrocław Congress Ambassador’s Program, such personalities can be listed: prof. Waldemar Banasiak, Paweł Kowalczewski, prof. Mirosław Kutyłowski, prof. Andrzej Milewicz.
