Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.

The Strategic Alliance of the National Convention Bureaux of Europe (SANCBE) presents a new whitepaper titled “How can National Convention Bureaux Leverage Their Influence for Sustainability?”. In alignment with the frameworks provided by the European Green Deal and the Net Zero Carbon Events Initiative, it showcases a collaborative action plan towards a shift to sustainable business events and the overall transition for sustainability. The paper was launched on May 22 in Frankfurt/Germany at the brand-new Global Forum for National Convention Bureaux, initiated by SANCBE and supported by ICCA and the IMEX Group.
At this year's IMEX, the Poland Convention Bureau team embraced the power of sensory marketing to create captivating experiences and evoke positive emotions among our guests. With a strong focus on engaging the subconscious of consumers and visitors, we aimed to leave a lasting impression. Our Polish stand boasted an impressive lineup of 18 vendors, each showcasing their exceptional products and services. The event also witnessed hundreds of scheduled business meetings at the national stand, further highlighting the dynamic networking opportunities our presence generated.
During the IMEX trade show in Frankfurt, at the Polish national stand, we sang a specially created song for this occasion. Brian Allan and Basia Giewont were our musical ambassadors in Germany, and with their performances, they generated a lot of positive emotions among the guests and exhibitors at Messe Frankfurt. The Musical Happy Hour attracted many trade fair participants who joined in the collective singing.
On 15 May 2023, the Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala took place at the Courtyard by Marriott Gdynia Waterfront Hotel. This important event is part of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme, which is jointly implemented by the Polish Tourism Organisation (PTO) and the Polish Conference and Congress Association (PCCA). The objective of the programme is to attract congresses to Poland and to provide effective assistance in bringing such events to our country by Polish professionals, such as scientists and experts from various industries, who operate within the structures of international organisations. During the gala, ambassadors and patrons were recognised for their efforts in 2020-2021.
IMEX Frankfurt Trade Show 2023 is coming up in just one week. The Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourism Organisation is the organiser of the Polish representation at the IMEX Trade Show in Frankfurt am Main. The trade show will take place between 23 and 25 May with the theme Human Nature. At the Polish stand, a record number of vendors will be displaying their products. Some of the hits of this year’s fair are sure to be the Musical Mornings and Musical Happy Hour.
From May 9th to 11th, the 16th Routes Europe 2023 Forum took place in Łódź. The international event was hosted by the city of Łódź and Łódź Airport. Over 1,100 delegates from across Europe, as well as the United States, Canada, United Arab Emirates, China, and Israel, participated in the event. Among them were representatives of 93 airlines and 250 airports.

Three Polish cities join a worldwide tour. Wroclaw, Krakow, and Gdansk are joining a global event celebrating the premiere of a book that serves as a guide on how to design better meetings to make them more productive, engaging, and effective. The authors of the book, "Meetings, by Default, or meetings by Design?" Mike van der Vijver and Eric de Groot, will meet with the local MICE industry and explore and discover the new role of F2F meetings in the post-pandemic world.
Polish cities have dominated the leaderboards of fDi Intelligence's European Cities and Regions of the Future 2023 ranking. The ranking evaluated 370 European cities and 148 European regions based on five subcategories: economic potential, business friendliness, connectivity, human capital and lifestyle, and cost effectiveness.
The 36th Global Conference of Alzheimer's Disease International usually attracts 1,200 onsite and online participants from over 120 countries will be taking place in Krakow, Poland from 24-26 April 2024. The conference bid was won by the Polskie Stowarzyszenie Pomocy Osobom z Chorobą Alzheimera (Polish Alzheimer’s Association), supported by Symposium Cracoviense.
The Polish Tourism Organisation and MICHELIN Guide have signed an agreement to include Polish cities in the world-renowned Michelin Guide. The promotion will initially focus on Warsaw, Krakow, Poznań, and surrounding areas.
The Gdańsk European Solidarity Centre will once again host the New Trends in Tourism conference on April 14, 2023. The event will cover four areas: statistics in the tourism industry, destination marketing, experiential tourism, and sustainable tourism. The special guest of the conference will be Wojciech Modest Amaro.

The European Cyclists’ Federation has announced that Gdansk, Poland has won the bid to host the 2025 edition of Velo-city, a global cycling summit. This will be the first time the conference is held in Poland, and it is scheduled to take place in June 2025 with the theme Energising Solidarity.
Wiktoria Król-Cieciorowska has been elected as the new President of Convention Bureau-Wrocław, succeeding Agnieszka Szymerowska, who has held the position since 2019. The appointment was made at the recent meeting of the Council of the Foundation for the Promotion of Tourism, during which Szymerowska officially handed over her duties Wiktoria to Król-Cieciorowska.
