Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.
The Polish Tourism Organization is a member of the meetings industry associations: International Congress and Convention Association and Union of International Associations.
The creation of a professional, fully equipped hybrid studio is one of the tasks of Kraków5020. The entire investment project will be ready after the summer vacations but the studio's functionality tests are already starting. All this to ensure that the Convention Center attracts new event organisers who rely on a hybrid event format in the post-pandemic reality.
ŁÓDŹ will be the host city of the largest European aviation forum, Routes Europe 2023. Next year, about 1,200 delegates, including representatives of over 90 airlines, airports, as well as cities, regions and tourist organizations from all over Europe, will come to Łódź. The city received the title and statuette of the next host of Routes Europe during the air forum in Bergen, Norway.
At the end of May, the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) published the latest ICCA Ranking Report, which presents data on the countries and cities in which the association organises the most events. In this year’s ranking, Poland came in 18th globally, having hosted 158 meetings.

The 2022 UFI European Conference took place over the course of three days, putting the spotlight on important industry topics and challenges faced by exhibition and event industry professionals. The event, which took place in Poznan, Poland, was hosted by Grupa MTP and offered a blend of keynote sessions, interactive workshops, networking and social activities.

After the burdensome 2021, when several planned investments were successfully opened despite the odds, 2022 is turning out to be very promising. During the Covid-19 pandemic remote channels of contact have become the foundation for our daily communication. That is why, in cooperation with the POT International Offices and municipal Convention Bureaux, we are conducting intense promotional activities online, targeted at the representatives of the meeting industry, in order to maintain interest in Poland and build trust among meeting and event planners.
The beginning of the year is a time for summaries, including the statistical ones. Like every year in January, Poland Convention Bureau POT, in cooperation with municipal and regional Convention Bureaux, has been collecting data for the Poland Meetings & Events Industry Report. It will already be the 13th edition of the publication whose goal is to define the size of the market of meetings and events in Poland, marking yet another year in the Covid-19 pandemic.
For almost 20 years, the Polish Tourism Organisation has been carrying out PCO, ITC and CB Recommendation Programmes, which are included in the annual PCB strategic plan and serve to professionalise the Polish meeting industry by developing professional conference services in Poland, improving knowledge and skills as well as strengthening the professional standing of those active in the market through international cooperation.In view of the current situation in the meeting industry caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and thus the limited possibility of organising live meetings, the current recommendations are extended until the end of 2022, as had been the case in 2021.
On 16-18 December, Poland Convention Bureau POT, in cooperation with POT International Offices as well as the local host - Convention Bureau Wrocław, organised a study/fam trip held within the “Poland. We Are Meeting Again” campaign, intended for representatives of the meeting industry from priority markets, i.e. Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. It was the first foreign fam trip prepared by PCB POT since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Together with municipal and regional conventions bureaux, recommended organisers of congresses and incentive trips as well as international organisations and associations, Poland Convention Bureau - Polish Tourism Organisation (PCB POT) has produced its annual Poland Meetings & Events Industry Report.
Like every year, the Polish Tourism Organisation was responsible for the Polish national stand at IBTM World in Barcelona (30.11-2.12.2021) - one of the most important events in the meeting industry. This year’s offer was accompanied by a promo campaign called #PolandWeAreMeetingAgain.
