Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.

We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.

Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:

  • participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
  • organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
  • gaining new business events for Poland;
  • cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
  • cooperating with city convention bureaux;
  • networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for  Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
  • networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
  • cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
  • collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.

The Polish Tourism Organization is a member of the meetings industry associations: International Congress and Convention Association and Union of International Associations.

New safety measures

On 17 October (Saturday) new safety-related restrictions were introduced in both red and yellow zones, affecting event planning and food service industry. 152 counties, constituting half of Poland, are now classified as red zones. The list mostly consists of densely populated districts, cities and large urban centres.

#WeMeetAgain - Meetings Week Poland 2020 summary

The eighth edition of Meetings Week Poland (MWP) was dedicated to the state of the meetings and events industry in the new reality, the trends that might have a considerable impact on the market’s shape, safety, as well as research painting a picture of the industry. The event adopted a hybrid formula and was held simultaneously in five Polish cities and a virtual conference centre. Its programme featured lectures and panel discussions involving Polish and international speakers, launches and an awards ceremony.

New event policy

New event policy

New regulations setting a limit on the number of gathering participants will come into force in mid-October. As a result, events staged in green zones will be aimed at max. 100 guests, and in the yellow zones - at max. 75 attendants. Up to 50 people continue to be allowed at gatherings in red zones, which will now also be affected by an additional restriction, with restaurants, pubs and bars closing at 10pm. Covering of mouth and nose in public spaces, up to now obligatory only in red zones, will be required also in yellow zones.

Represented by its Belgium-based International Office, Poland Convention Bureau of Polish Tourism Organisation took part in an industry workshop staged by BBT Online. Meetings Week Poland to return in a hybrid formula

The eighth edition of Meetings Week Poland (MWP) – cancelled back in April because of the pandemic-related ban on public events - will instead take place in September in a brand-new formula. The event has adopted a hybrid character with participants meeting onsite in venues in five cities across Poland or joining online from any place in the world. MWP will cover issues related to the new reality, in which the meetings industry is restoring its position.
