Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.
The Polish Tourism Organization is a member of the meetings industry associations: International Congress and Convention Association and Union of International Associations.
The Water Factory is an educational water park, that opened in in early June in Szczecin. It consists of two zones: the Education Rooms, with interactive exhibitions and inspiring shows uncovering the secrets hidden in the water, and the pool and entertainment zone, making up the largest and most modern aquapark in the region.
The MICHELIN Guide included the Tri-City area of Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Sopot in Pomorskie region. The full restaurant selection for The MICHELIN Guide Poland was announced on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Michelin Guide`s Poland selection has expanded to include 19 establishments in the Pomorskie region (cities Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia), the total number of Starred restaurants is now 6. Additionally, Eliksir became Poland’s first MICHELIN Green Star restaurant and 9 restaurants were newly awarded a Bib Gourmand for great quality, great value cooking.
A special session of the Eventprofs Creators Lab was held in Warsaw for the members of SITE Poland. During the world’s largest conference of heritage scholars organized by the Association of Critical Heritage Studies (ACHS), held from 3rd to 6th June 2023 in Galway, Ireland, it was decided that the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw (including the newly established UNESCO Chair on Public and Global Governance of Intangible Cultural Heritage) will host the ACHS conference in 2028.oku.
On 10th June 2024, a remarkable event was organised in collaboration with students from the Vistula School of Hospitality. Over 30 members of the Student Science Club “2B” concluded their academic year at the headquarters of the Polish Tourism Organisation (PTO). This gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the 2023/2024 academic year and to acquire new skills as part of the educational project, Eventprofs Creators Lab.
The Poland Convention Bureau was participating and co-organising a promotional stand at the Ecsite 2024 Congress in Ljubljana from 5-8 June this year. These activities are part of the promotion of Poland, Warsaw, and the Copernicus Science Centre as hosts of the Ecsite 2025 event organised by The European Network of Science Centres and Museums. The congress will take place from 3-5 June 2025 in Warsaw.
The first MICE industry networking of the year, Let’s Meet, organised by the Gdańsk Convention Bureau, has just taken place. This event was remarkable as it introduced a completely refreshed format. Representatives of 15 hosted buyers unanimously agreed that this new approach was highly effective. The Association of Incentive Travel Organizers, SITE Poland, organized the first edition of the conference #ResponsibleIncentiveTravelDay, which took place at the Hilton Warsaw City Hotel on April 25, 2024.
