Let’s Meet 2024 in Gdańsk and Sopot: May MICE Event in a New Format

The first MICE industry networking of the year, Let’s Meet, organised by the Gdańsk Convention Bureau, has just taken place. This event was remarkable as it introduced a completely refreshed format. Representatives of 15 hosted buyers unanimously agreed that this new approach was highly effective. The Polish Tourist Organisation - Poland Convention Bureau partnered with the Let’s Meet event held in Gdańsk and Sopot in May 2024.

Let’s Meet took place in Gdańsk and Sopot from the 27th to the 29th of May. What innovations did the organisers introduce? Primarily, they eliminated the standard table meetings and replaced them with a series of site inspections. This meant participants travelled between venues, providing an engaging way to experience the facilities firsthand.

International Guests had the opportunity to personally visit various venues and discuss their features with representatives on-site. This format allowed for in-depth conversations about planning and organising a variety of events, such as conferences, congresses, and corporate incentive travel.

Interestingly, in one instance, participants travelled by motorboats! From the historic centre of Gdańsk, guests journeyed to Górki Zachodnie, where the Wisła Śmiała river flows into the Baltic Sea. Across the river lies Sobieszewo Island, further highlighting the unique location of Gdańsk, a city situated on the Motława River and at the mouth of the Vistula River to the Baltic Sea. Participants also visited Sopot, renowned for its sandy Baltic coast and famous pier - Molo.
