Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.

We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.

Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:

  • participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
  • organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
  • gaining new business events for Poland;
  • cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
  • cooperating with city convention bureaux;
  • networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for  Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
  • networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
  • cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
  • collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.

The Polish Tourism Organization is a member of the meetings industry associations: International Congress and Convention Association and Union of International Associations.

Poland at IMEX America

On 15-17 October 2013 an international meetings industry fair – IMEX America were held in Las Vegas. Poland Convention Bureau POT for the second time organized Polish Stand no. 3507, where PCB POT and the Head of the Polish National Tourist Office in New York were present.

Royal meetings at EIBTM Barcelona

On 29 November – 2 December Barcelona played host to the EIBTM exhibition – one of the meetings industry’s essential events. During the exhibition we continued  project aimed at attract new industry representatives from around the world who moves their imagination in the Polish crown. Many people eagerly responded to the campaign and we successfully created a gallery of photographs of foreign Polish ambassadors.

The convention bureaux meeting in Toruń

On 18 November 2011 the Toruń MotoArena, the best speedway stadium in the world, played host to this year’s last regional Convention Bureaux meeting, where the main topic discussed was cooperation in the coming year in organising such events as trade fairs and presentations, as well as preparing new editions of the “Poland Meetings & Events Industry Report.”

Polish Congress Ambassadors selected!

On 17 November 2011 in Artus Court in Toruń the 12th Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala took place – inviting 14 new personalities from the world of science, who contribute to the organisation of meetings in Poland, to the prestigious group of Honorary Ambassadors. The evening was officially opened by Michał Zaleski – Mayor of Toruń, Edward Hartwich – Vice-Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, and Zbigniew Ostrowski – Vice-Governor of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province.

ITM Business Tourism Fair

The ITM Business Tourism Fair will be held January 27-29, 2012, at the International Expocentre Expo XXI in the Polish capital, Warsaw. The fair is a superb opportunity for people in charge of organizing conferences, training and corporate events to discover what Poland and other countries in this part of Europe have to offer. The fair will create the perfect environment for productive business talks and for establishing solid contacts. Participants will also be able to take part in free seminars.The ITM Business Tourism event is the product of a merger between the ITM Warsaw tourism fair and the Meetings Poland Expo business tourism fair. The Fairex and Meetings Poland companies decided to join forces to create a central business tourism fair in Poland.

Presentation for associations in Brussels

On November 3 Poland Convention Bureau in cooperation with the Polish Tourist Information Office in Brussels, conducted a presentation for the representatives of the Belgian associations. Its aim was to encourage an interest in Poland as a destination for the meetings industry by providing opportunities for organizing all kinds of events in Poland and the biggest tourist attractions of nature, history and architecture.

Fam Trip brought a medical conference to Warsaw

We received the first response after the Fam Trip event in Warsaw. International Conference on Primary Central Hypoventilation - scientific conference organized by the participant of Fam Trip will take place in April 2012 in Warsaw, at the Hyatt hotel.This event takes place every five years in one of the member states of the European association of CHS Network, which brings together hundreds of professionals in the field of hypoventilation. Previous editions have taken place in Sestri Levante in Italy and in Paris.

1000 crowns for 1000 ICCA delegates

On 22 – 26  October the 50th ICCA Congress & Exhibition in Leipzig took place, during which the presentations of the three finalists in the ICCA Best Marketing Award contest: Glasgow Glasgow City Marketing & SECC, China Star Ltd oraz Poland Convention Bureau Polish Tourist Organisation  were held. For the first time Polish project has been so highly praised by the judges.

Poland on IT&CMA

The IT&CMA and CTW workshop will take place on 4 – 6 October in Thailand. It is one of the most important tourism-related events which year by year becomes more and more popular. For the first time, the largest Asian meeting for business tourism industry will feature the Polish national stand, attended by Poland Convention Bureau.

The ECM Summer School

Thanks to the efforts of the Poland Convention Bureau and the Kraków Convention Bureau, for the first time in Poland, in Kraków between 27 and 31 August, the ECM Summer School will be organised – providing training to people starting their career in the meetings industry.
