The Polish presence at the Conventa Trade Show 2024 in Ljubljana was remarkable, showcasing the diversity and richness of the Polish MICE industry. With a strong contingent of exhibitors representing various facets of the industry, including destination management companies, convention bureaus, and hotels, attendees had the opportunity to explore a wide range of services and destinations for their events in Poland.

For 16 years Conventa has kept the promise to bring top-notch hosted buyers in Ljubljana, providing you with an opportunity to meet them in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Meticulously selected hosted buyers represent the heart of Conventa. This year, there were 160 hosted buyers which came to Ljubljana from 32 countries. Quality is more important to us than quantity, which is why the Conventa organizers select the best of all who apply. From 538 applications, they approved 29,7 % with the highest potential.

Notably, this edition saw the largest Polish representation in Conventa's history, underscoring the growing significance of Poland as a prime destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. With exhibitors like recommended convention bureaux, recommended professional organisers and recommended incentive travel companies and hotels international attendees were able to connect with key players and explore partnership opportunities.

The presence of Aneta Ksiazek, head of the Poland Convention Bureau, provided a focal point for engagement and networking, further enhancing the visibility and impact of the Polish delegation. Additionally, she received the Meetings Star Awards - The Most Influential People in New Europe in two categories -  Top Meeting Architects and Dreamcatcher of the Year 2023/2024 (overall winner). Congratulations are also extended to Andrew Hulewicz from Mazurkas DMC Poland (Top Meeting Agencies category), as well as to all the other winners and nominees across various categories. Warm regards are sent to our friends from Gdansk Convention Bureau and Kraków Convention Bureau, both of whom were nominated in the Destination category for organizing meetings of up to 2000 people. Additionally, we celebrate the ICE Kraków Congress Centre for once again being recognized as the winner in the prestigious Meeting Star Award in the Convention Centres category. In the same category, The International Congress Centre (ICC) achieved a notable 7th ranking.

Overall, the Polish presence at Conventa demonstrated the country's commitment to the MICE sector and offered attendees valuable insights and opportunities for collaboration.
