Today, amidst the grandeur of the Meetings Star Awards gala, Aneta Ksiazek clinched The Most Influential People in New Europe accolades in two esteemed categories: Top Meeting Architects and Dreamcatcher of the Year 2023/2024 (overall winner).

This marks a significant personal triumph for our leader and a testament to our endeavours in championing Poland in the MICE sector. Here's the validation we garnered from the competition jury:

Aneta took the helm of the Poland Convention Bureau in December 2022, just in time for the bureau’s 20th anniversary. Poland Convention Bureau operates as part of the Polish Tourism Organisation, where Aneta worked as a Conference Specialist between 2008 and 2018 before taking over the Poland Convention Bureau. Aneta has earned rich experience in her career, having worked as a delegate of the Polish Tourism Organisation in Brussels. After she became the Director of Poland CVB, a real revolution happened in Poland’s meetings industry. In a short time, Poland became one of the hottest markets globally. The innovative campaign “Poland. More Than You Expected” was impossible to overlook. Aneta and her team completely repositioned Poland as a meeting destination in a few years. Beyond her work to improve Poland’s recognition, Aneta actively cooperates in the Strategic Alliance of National Convention Bureaux of Europe. What inspires us most about Aneta’s work is her holistic and balanced approach that is always inclusive and connects stakeholders. All those who voted for her as the Dreamcatcher of the Year recognised that. On behalf of the entire team preparing the Meetings Star certification, I wish to extend sincere congratulations on your first place.

These awards serve as validation of our unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in advancing our mission to promote Poland as a premier destination for meetings, conferences, and events. Thank you very much for such a wonderful reception and appreciation of my work (in November 2024 - it will be exactly 25 years) for Polish tourism and New Europe. I want to thank my team (Magda Mazgaj and Jaroslaw Marciuk) for their dedication and support for the projects we lead together so smoothly. I thank the management of Polish Tourism Organisation for their trust, and my colleagues from various departments of PTO in Warsaw as well as Foreign Centers (ZOPOT) for their friendly approach and support every day, not just on holidays. Finally, thank you to the INDUSTRY for developing so fantastically, professionalizing, following and setting trends, consistently marking our place in Europe and the world with your work. It's an honor to represent you. Lastly, I thank my beloved parents for their support, love, and instilling in me the desire to explore the world on both micro and macro scales.

Influencers within the meetings industry were selected among 279 nominated candidates from 24 countries. The award was given to leading destination representatives, meeting agencies, hoteliers, catering companies, technology providers, innovators, marketing and live event agencies and experts in sustainability.
