The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dublin launched the fourth edition of the Polska Éire Festival. It was inaugurated by a family-friendly running event intended to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of Poland regaining independence and the days of Irish-Polish friendship.

Polish Tourism Organisation successfully applied for funding intended for the promotion of good practices in tourism in rural areas. POT obtained a subsidy of 625,000 PLN as part of the two-year operational programme National Rural Network 2018-2019.

The international Arabian Travel Market was held in Dubai on 22-25 April. The largest tourism event of this kind in the Arabian market, it attracts more than 3,000 participants and exhibitors.

SPATA, the oldest and possibly only organization associating representatives of the Polish tourism industry residing in the United States and Canada, met for a Jubilee Ball in Totowa, New Jersey on 21 April 2018. The event served as an opportunity to congratulate and thank for the cooperation up to now.

The three-day 2018 edition of COTTM (China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market) was launched in Beijing on 16 April. Polish Tourism Organisation developed its own informational-reception stand, which hosted more than 60 meetings with representatives of the Chinese industry - both organisers and travel agencies.

Polish Tourism Organisation is tightening its cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Signed by President of POT Robert Andrzejczyk, an agreement with MFA will allow for greater synergy in the area of efforts promoting Poland abroad. 

On 5 April 2018 the inaugural session of the Council of Polish Tourism Organisation of the seventh term was staged at the seat of Ministry of Sport and Tourism. Andrzej Kindler was unanimously voted the Council Chairperson.

At MITT - Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition held on 13-15 March Polish Tourism Organisation received an award for Best Destination Promotion in Russia 2018.

Already for the sixth time leaders of the meetings industry, one of the most advanced sectors of global economy, meet in Warsaw. Attended by about 1,000 participants from all parts of the world, Meetings Week Poland is taking place in the capital on 19-23 March 2018.
