Representatives of the Kiev-based office of Polish Tourism Organisation held a bilateral meeting with agents of JoinUp, Ukraine’s largest travel agency.
Representatives of the management of POT, Silesian Tourism Organization, Association of Jura Communes and Directorate-General of State Forests met in the seat of Polish Tourism Organisation to discuss the development of the cycling infrastructure on the Trail of Eagle’s Nests.

Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna - POT) invites all hoteliers, restaurateurs, tourism entrepreneurs, organizations and institutions providing tourism services, as well as sport event organisers to join the fifth edition of the national “POLAND SEE MORE - WEEKEND AT HALF PRICE” undertaking. To submit an application, send a specially prepared form available on www.polskazobaczwiecej.pl. This is also where you will find detailed information about the action, terms and conditions, instructions on how to submit offers, and a list of benefits generated by joining the initiative.
The tourism and tourism-related sector is the main beneficiary of the operation. It is important to mention the commercial aspect that is one of the main inspirations behind the discussed idea - selling products outside the traditional peak season. For initiative’s partners, it is an excellent opportunity to win new customers. Polish Tourism Organisation offers marketing support for its associates on television, online and in means of transport (e.g. videos shown on Pendolino trains and Polonus coaches). In the case of the latest edition, POT is additionally planning to increase the budget allocated for the project’s promotion.
Registration began on 16 July and will wrap up on 26 August. The sale of offers will be launched on 19 September and the final stage of the action is planned for the weekend of 5-7 October.
The joint initiative of Polish Tourism Organisation and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism is aimed at presenting a nationwide tourism offer and encouraging local residents to take advantage of tourist highlights and services across the country, also off-season. As a result, it contributes to stimulating the domestic tourist traffic and draws attention of locals to the available options of spending free time in Poland. Finally, the action also has a positive impact on the growing significance of tourism as a branch of Polish economy.
In the last spring edition the list of action’s partners included 661 entities that became involved in the campaign and offered their products and services at a 50% discount. More than 132,000 Poles seized this opportunity.

In a survey commissioned by POT during the fourth edition of the action, as many as 96% of partners agreed that they can see the benefits resulting from becoming involved and 90% declared that they will participate in successive editions.
Poland stays on top with the number of non-residents visiting the country once again on the rise in 2017. This is the outcome of a report compiled by the Department of Tourism at the Ministry of Sports and Tourism on the basis of research conducted by the Central Statistical Office, the Ministry and the National Bank of Poland.
