New hotels in Tricity

Hampton by Hilton next to the Gdańsk airport
The international chain Hampton by Hilton is building its hotel next to Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport. After the new airport T2 terminal was opened in 2012, there was a need to build a hotel nearby for guests arriving to Gdańsk, mainly for business purposes. The new hotel will house 116 double/twin rooms, with the price for a one-night stay below PLN 200. The investor building the Gdańsk Hampton by Hilton hotel is Port-Hotel, a company entirely owned by “Polish Airports” State Enterprise.
Golden Tulip with the sea view
On 1 July the third Golden Tulip chain hotel was opened in Poland (the other two are in Warsaw and Międzyzdroje) – Golden Tulip Gdańsk Residence. The facility is located at the seaside and offers 195 rooms, from standard quality to two-floor SUITE apartments, as well as a conference venue for 200 people. The hotel has just joined the Gdańsk Tourist Organisation / Gdańsk Convention Bureau.
PURO Hotel in the centre of Gdańsk
The official opening of the PURO Hotel is planned for the second half of 2014. The hotel will be located in the very centre of Gdańsk and it will have 96 rooms and a small conference room. The unique location of the hotel – on the historic ‘Granary Island’ (Wyspa Spichrzów) in the heart of the old Gdańsk quarter – will surely be its great advantage.
The first 5-star hotel in Gdynia
The newest part of the Tricity conurbation, Gdynia, is to finally welcome its first 5-star facility. The Marriott hotel will be erected next to one of the most characteristic buildings in the city – the Sea Towers next to Kościuszko Square. The hotel will provide new accommodation options in Gdynia, where tourists now have 11 hotels offering 706 rooms to choose from.
With the steadily improving communication access and the growing accommodation and conference offer, Gdańsk and the entire region have become one of the most popular places in Poland to organise various congresses, and a brand recognisable also in Europe.
