A busy June

On 4 June, during a study visit organised by the PTO for Japanese tour operators, the Poland Convention Bureau delivered a presentation of Poland showing its conference facilities against the background of other European countries. The meeting with the representatives of Japan was in line with the activities under the “I like Poland” project, which include a marketing campaign focused on three Asian markets: China, India and Japan itself.

On 10 June, following an invitation from Prof. Janusz Lipkowski, the Poland Convention Bureau presented the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program during the meeting of the Warsaw Scientific Society. The Program aims at the promotion of Poland as a place for organising international congresses and conferences. The objective of the Program is to attract congresses to Poland and to provide Polish scientists who work in international organisations with effective support in attracting such events to our country.

On 12 June, the Poland Convention Bureau was present during the “Business Mixer” held by the Orbis Hotel Group. During the meeting a Report was presented on the “Trends in the corporate market in business travel management”. The Report presented the findings of a pioneering nationwide survey on the trends in the corporate market in business travel management with particular emphasis on the CORPO type of business travel. The meeting turned out to be extremely valuable for the Poland Convention Bureau, which itself has published a nationwide Meetings and Events Industry Report since 2010.
