Wroclaw Congress Ambassadors Meeting
The Convention Bureau - Wrocław annually organizes a meeting of Wroclaw Congress Ambassadors, which intention is to integrate and strengthen cooperation between members of the Ambassador Club and representatives of the meetings industry.
After welcoming all participants, the President of Convention Bureau - Wrocław Agnieszka Szymerowska presented the current situation in the hotel industry in Wroclaw in connection with the dynamically changing number of Wroclaw hotels. Only this year, 6 new hotels were opened in different locations and with a different standard (from 2 * to 5 *).
The next presentation was given by Aneta Książek from the Poland Convention Bureau POT and Marta Wiśniewska from PLL LOT. It also concerned the new National Support Program for the Meeting Industry inaugurated by LOT Polish Airlines and the Polish Tourist Organization. This program is important for Congress Ambassadors because it supports them in obtaining important international events for the city. Participants of the meeting were really interested in that kind of initiative.
Anna Jędrocha from the Polish Conference and Congress Association presented the subject of legacy in the meetings industry. The presentation had many interesting examples of the social aspects in organizing conferences and congresses.
The meeting ended with a tour of The Bridge Wroclaw MGallery Hotel, thanks to which participants had the opportunity to visually check the conference potential of the hotel.
Congress Ambassador Clubs is a project working in cooperation with the municipal convention bureau, which aims to support the world of science and industry organizations seeking to obtain international conferences and events. To date, Local Clubs of the Congress Ambassador have been established and are actively developing in four Polish cities: Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and Wroclaw. The initiator of the project are: the Polish Conference and Congresse Association, the Polish Tourism Organization, local governments cooperating with the convention bureaux, as well as representatives of the meetings industry involved in the Program of the Polish Congress Ambassadors.
