EventSummit, the largest event in the Dutch market to be dedicated to the event industry, was staged in Rotterdam (Netherlands) on 30 January 2020 and featured both a business section and seminars.

Poland’s presence stemmed from expanding promotional undertakings conducted with the Amsterdam-based Polish Tourism Organisation International Office. Focused on the meetings industry, the efforts are inspired by Poland receiving the Best MICE Destination 2019 title awarded by MICE & Business Travel.

EventSummit was held for the 12th time and gathered 600 exhibitors and 6,500 visitors. The main group of participants involved organisers of events, including incentive travels and congresses, delegates of regions, cities, and venues from all over the country. Key topics of talks at the Polish stand focused on the options of staging conferences in cities with an established position – Warsaw and Kraków – and incentive trips applying Poland’s natural resources. The promotion of second-tier cities (Gdańsk, Katowice, Poznań and Wrocław) and destinations emerging in the Polish business arena (Lublin, Łódź) was also on the agenda.

One-on-one business talks culminated with an invitation of meeting planners to a fam trip to Wrocław, scheduled for May 2020 and arranged in cooperation with Convention Bureau-Wrocław.
