Poland Convention Bureau POT presents holiday-season recommendations
As is the case each pre-Christmas season, Poland Convention Bureau of Polish Tourism Organisation (PCB POT) presented recommendation certificates to professional organisers of congresses and incentive travel plus convention bureaux. The document in question confirms their reliability, good practices and top customer service standards. Robert Andrzejczyk, President of POT, presented the recommendations in Kamienica Theatre in Warsaw.
“There is certainly a Christmas character to the end-of-the-year event that has Polish Tourism Organisation joining forces with Saint Nick. I am glad that we could present recommendations to as many as 17 companies (with two receiving double distinctions) standing out from their competition. The end of the year is also a good time to take a look back. This was an outstanding year for Polish tourism, including the business tourism sector. We wish everyone involved in the meetings industry an even more successful year ahead”, says Robert Andrzejczyk.
In addition, the President of POT announced that starting with January 2019 Poland Convention Bureau will become a self-governing unit within the structures of Polish Tourism Organisation’s Department of Strategy and Marketing. Before the ceremony of presenting recommendations, Aneta Książek, newly appointed head of the unit, discussed the operations PCB is planning to hold next year in order to bolster the meetings industry.
In 2019 Poland Convention Bureau will be undertaking promotional initiatives following the “Poland - smart move” slogan. The list of tools intended to implement the activities in question involves trade fairs, foreign workshops, programmes of recommendations and congress ambassadors, fam trips, statistical research, as well as membership in international organisations.
The first part of the meeting ended with a speech by a special guest, Agnieszka Ciesielska of the EventowaBlogerka.pl blog, who discussed how to draw the attention of customers with a unique event scenario.
Finally, it was time to present the certificates, which were handed out in three categories: PCO (Professional Congress Organizer), ITC (Incentive Travel Company) and CB (Convention Bureau). The recommended companies (see below for their full list) will receive a lot of publicity through PCB POT operations, i.a. information in promotional brochures, presentations for foreign organisers, as well as a website and social media. In addition, the discussed organisers are invited to participate in undertakings staged by POT, such as presentations, international trade fairs, fam trips, workshops, training sessions, etc.
