Staged under the common theme of “Emergency medicine as new quality in healthcare systems”, the events in question will be an excellent opportunity for further integration of the emergency medicine community, at a both domestic and international level, a platform for sharing business experiences and a forum for building plans for the near and more distant future.

The target group of the Congress and Conference involves not only physicians, but also everyone interested in:
- healthcare and pro-health policy (its organisation, management, financing, medical and pharmaceutical industry);
- emergency medicine (and related aspects of medical specialties, organisation and functioning of its hospital facilities - emergency wards);
- medical rescue services (the role and tasks of paramedics, emergency nurses, dispatchers, administrators);
- public safety and crisis management (at a regional, domestic and international level).

Speakers of “CEEM 2019” Central European Emergency Medicine, the 7th International Congress of the Polish Society for Emergency Medicine, and the 28th Winter Conference of Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care will include domestic and international authorities representing renowned academic institutions specialising in emergency medicine. The sessions will be accompanied by medical, paramedic and nursing workshops. Submitted works will be published in a commemorative monograph or in the trade Polish Journal of Emergency Medicine.

The organisational committee of the discussed events is represented by Prof. dr hab. med. Juliusz Jakubaszko (Faculty of Emergency Medical Science at Wrocław Medical University), who in 2015 received the title of the Honorary Polish Congress Ambassador. In 1999 Jakubaszko participated in establishing the emergency medicine speciality and launching the ministerial programme “Integrated Medical Rescue Services”. Finally, Juliusz Jakubaszko was among the founders of the Polish Society for Emergency Medicine, over which he currently presides.
