MP Fast Date® - Destinations Day
The second edition of MP Fast Date® - Destinations Day was held at ICE Kraków Congress Centre on 18 June.
A special edition of the MP Fast Date® workshops, the Destination Day is dedicated to a comprehensive presentation of destinations’ potential from the viewpoint of organising events and the related process of building relations between representatives of convention bureaux, departments of promotion and tourism at local government units, and the business community.
The meeting’s formula was traditionally based on 15-minute individual talks between representatives of convention bureaux, tourism organisations, departments of promotion and tourism at local government units (responsible for promoting destinations from the angle of business tourism) and venues, and meeting planners and event organisers. The latter group encompassed representatives of event agencies, PCOs, DMCs, as well as clients from corporations and associations.
In the section focused on education and training, Aneta Książek, representative of PCB POT (Polish Convention Bureau Polish Tourism Organisation), discussed the 2017 state of Poland’s industry of meetings and events based on findings of the research conducted for the purposes of compiling the 2018 Poland Meetings and Events Industry Report. The annual publication prepared by PCB POT will become available on the website of Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna - POT) at the turn of June.
Besides the national Poland Convention Bureau, the event also featured convention bureaus of Bydgoszcz, Kraków, Lublin and region, as well as Wrocław.
MP Fast Date® - Destinations Day was held under the patronage of the President of Polish Tourism Organisation.
