Another IMEX exhibition held between 20 and 22 May 2014 in Frankfurt has ended. IMEX is the largest fair of its type gathering representatives of the industry from all over the world.

 

Like each year, Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organisation organised the Polish national stand, which presented offers of the regional Convention Bureaux, companies organising meetings and conference facilities.

Over the three fair days the representatives of the Poland Convention Bureau met with over 200 organisers from Europe, Asia and America.

 

The promotional campaign of Poland and Kraków as a place for the MPI European Meetings and Events Conference 2015 organisation was an additional event during the fair. On 21 May, Kraków was promoted as the next destination to organise the European meeting of the association MPI at a special cocktail party. Kraków Convention Bureau was the partner in the promotion of the capital city of Małopolska.

 

Next, Happy Hour was held on the Polish national stand organised as a result of cooperation between Kraków and Poznań Convention Bureau. Raffle, live music and informal talks resulted in the establishment of new contacts.

 

This year’s edition of the fair was also special considering the world premiere of the report “Poland Meetings and Events Industry Report 2014” and the presentation of Gdańsk as a place of organisation of the ICCA congress meeting in 2017. This time the presentation prepared by Gdańsk Convention Bureau and partners, despite a positive assessment, had to recognise the superiority of Prague.
