"Get a taste of Lublin conference"
On 16 September 2016 Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne (Lublin Conference Centre) will host “Get a taste of Lublin conference” event series inaugurating the opening of a new congress-conference centre in eastern Poland, in the very heart of Lublin. The events in question are targeted at meeting organisers, the MICE industry, media professionals, voivodeship and city authorities, as well as representatives of institutions of higher education.
The organisers also invite all representatives of marketing agencies and organisations, PR and travel agencies, along with institutions and entities implementing undertakings connected with conferences and exhibitions from all over Poland. The September-set event series will be held on the initiative and under the auspices of Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne, Marshal Office of the Lubelskie Voivodeship and Polish Tourist Organisation. The Warsaw Voice, organiser of the Poland Meetings Destination programme, is the content partner.
The event programme involves the arrangement of:
- B2B industry workshops
Business meetings consisting of rotary 10-minute talks between representatives of Lublin hotels, catering companies, event agencies and meeting organisers with Polish meeting planners – participants of a fam trip to Lublin and the near-by region. The trip will be conducted by MeetingPlanner. The workshops will be held at Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne from 9am to 10.30am.

The conference will cover the role of the meetings industry, a dynamically growing branch of Polish economy. Among the attending panelists [link] you will find representatives of the MICE sector from all over Poland, government and local government professionals, as well as representatives of institutes of higher education. The conference will immediately follow the B2B workshops, from 11am to 3pm. It will encompass three panels:
Panel 1: Meetings industry and its economic significance in the scale of country and region
Panel 2: Meetings as a local tourism product: challenges, needs, perspectives
Panel 3: Local congress, conference and exhibition centres: competition or cooperation and synergy?
- Opening Gala of Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne
An event aimed at meeting organisers, the MICE industry, media representatives, voivodeship and city authorities, Ambassadors of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, representatives of institutes of higher education and entities distinguished by the “Lubelskie” Regional Brand Certificates. At LCK we also hope to host representatives of marketing, PR and tourism agencies and organisations, along with representatives of institutions and entities implementing undertakings connected with conferences and exhibitions from all over Poland. The gala will act as a ceremonious opening of Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne in Lublin. It will also feature official speeches by representatives of authorities, activities held in the form of workshops, an entertainment section (concert, stand up comedy, dancing show) and a banquet. The invitation-only gala will start at 7pm.
