Local and regional convention bureaux and the Poland Convention Bureau undertake a range of activities to create a positive image for cities, regions and the country as a whole. An additional aim is to build a competitive advantage. Effectively collected statistical data is an irreplaceable source of knowledge that is used in marketing.

This is particularly important now in view of the challenges facing the meetings industry in 2023 and beyond. The war in Ukraine, the uncertainty of the economic situation and climate change raise a number of questions that are followed by concrete decisions. Reliable and verified information showing Poland as a safe country with professional facilities for the organisation of meetings and events is the key to success.

The successfully concluded 61st Congress of the ICCA in Krakow and the UFI European Conference 2022 in Poznan, as well as other important international congresses and conferences in 2022, have shown that Poland is worthy of hosting the most important events. The positive impressions of many visitors to Poland should be followed by figures showing in black and white that it is still worthwhile to organise and plan conferences, congresses and incentive trips to our country in the long term.

Creation of the report

The 2022 data collection is currently underway and the results of the 14th edition of the Meetings and Events Industry Report in Poland, will be published in the second half of 2023.

What is highly important, the collected data will be shared with the annual reports of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and the Union of International Associations (UIA). The high position of Poland and individual cities in the ICCA and UIA lists is crucial in building Poland's strong position as a leader in Central Europe.
