Eva López Alvarez, editor-in-chief of Punto MICE, CEO of Grupo PUNTO MICE, stayed in Poland on 3-10 March. Her fam trip began in the Tri-City, from which she travelled to Warsaw and, finally, Kraków and Zakopane. Besides conference venues, the agenda also included places showcasing the rich and diverse past of our country: the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk, the Koneser Praga Centre featuring the Polish Vodka Museum, the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw, as well as the Wieliczka Salt Mine. In addition, the journalist was particularly interested in available options of arranging incentive and team-building travels.

Prior to the fam trip, the PUNTO MICE platform hosted a Poland-themed webinar on 27 February. Vouchers - awards for its participants were funded by Marriott Warsaw and Sheraton Grand Kraków.

Directing its operations at the industry in Spain and South America (with particular emphasis on Argentina and Mexico), the PUNTO MICE group publishes the Punto MICE magazine (both print and digital editions), a newsletter (sent to a worldwide audience of 52,000) and runs a webinar portal. Moreover, its portfolio also encompasses PUNTO DMC.

The fam trip of Michael Foraud, editor-in-chief of MeeT and TRaVeL MaG, was staged on 10-13 March. Developed in close cooperation with the guest, the agenda mostly focused on hotels in Warsaw (i.a. Bristol, Raffles, Sofitel Victoria, Hilton, InterContinental, Sheraton), Łódź (i.a. Vienna House Andel's, Double Tree by Hilton, Puro) and Kraków (i.a. boutique venues of the MGallery by Sofitel group, Sheraton, Indigo). In addition, Foraud also took part in individual meetings with local DMCs, including companies distinguished by POT PCB’s recommendation certificates.

With circulation of 6,100 copies, the MeeT and TRaVeL MaG bi-weekly is dedicated to business tourism: congresses, seminars and incentives. It covers areas related to the hospitality sector, gastronomy, transportation and other issues connected with planning business trips.

The fam trips in question were arranged by Polish Tourism Organisation International Offices based in Madrid and Paris. Their implementation was supported by the national CB and its local counterparts representing Gdańsk, Kraków, Łódź and Warsaw, in cooperation with tourist organisations of Pomorskie (Pomerania) and Małopolska, the Gdynia Tourist Council, Nosalowy Dwór Resort & Spa, as well as the Marriott International chain. Marriott Warsaw and Sheraton Grand Kraków funded the webinar awards.

The project’s implementation relied on a partnership-based cooperation and thus guaranteed its complete success, showcasing the strength of the Polish meetings industry. Our sincere thanks to all our partners!
