Among the gala’s guests were: Government representatives, scientific world representatives, media and the tourism sector representatives.
After the ceremony Jacek Wójcicki with his band performed for invited guests. During the banquet the artists of the local cabaret "Piwnica pod baranami" (“Cellar of the Rams”) presented their programme.

This year 17 esteemed personalities from the world of science, who helped to organise meetings in Poland in 2007-2010, joined the Polish Congress Ambassadors group. Among them:
