After IMEX

At the national Polish stand daily individual business meetings were held, as well as presentations to 12 groups of Hosted Buyers of 10 to 20 people.

One part of the national stand was devoted to the IMEX Challenge Poland 2010, which is an innovative CSR project, is an initiative aimed at inspiring meetings industry representatives to conduct joint efforts and undertakings for the sake of the local communities of countries hosting the forthcoming IMEX editions. In September 2010 representatives of the global meetings industry will come to Warsaw to refurbish and renovate the garden of a foster family in Wesoła and found them educational scholarships. We are proud of the fact that I edition of the project begins in Poland. IMEX Challenge will run every two years, each time in another place in the world. 25.05.2010 on the Polish stand held an integration cocktail for the participants of IMEX Challenge Poland 2010 project, after which all went to a press conference dedicated to this project.

On the same day we hosted politicians from Gdansk, Katowice, Szczecin and Warsaw, who participated in IMEX Politicians Forum.

Polish stand was also a place where Destination Pro certificates, confirming qualifications for wider promotion and sale of destinations, were given to: Magda Hołowińska (Warsaw Convention Bureau), Aneta Książek, Karolina Gajewska and Krzysztof Celuch (Convention Bureau of Poland). This certificate obtained after completing two courses in marketing destinations: “Destination Sales Training I and II”, organized by Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) and “Summer School” organized by European Cities Marketing.

Second day of the fair ended with a Happy Hours meeting with members of the MPI global community invited by MPI Poland Club.

It is worth noting that two Polish students, participating in the April conference IMEX-MPI Future Leaders Forum Warsaw, qualified for the final stage of the competition IMEX University Challenge with 2 another students from America and Asia. However, the winner was a student from USA, it was a big achievement for young Polish business leaders.
