POT supports the “Safe Tourism” campaign
The Polish Tourism Organisation supports the “Safe Tourism” campaign. The campaign promoting the high level of safety in the Polish tourism industry was initiated by such organisations as the Polish Tourism Council and the Polish Council of the Meetings and Events Industry.
Research carried out worldwide, including by the Robert Koch Institute in Germany, confirms that tourism practically does not contribute to the spread of Covid-19. This is due, among other things, to the very high level of vaccination of the staff serving customers. In order to reach the widest possible audience with this information, the Polish Tourism Council launched the “Safe Tourism” campaign, which encourages representatives of the tourism industry to use graphic signs proving their commitment to customer safety and ensuring that staff members are vaccinated. The campaign is promoted by tourism organisations that belong to the Polish Tourism Council: the National Association of Travel Agents, the Open Tourism Organisation, the Kraków Chamber of Tourism and the Chamber of Tourism of the Republic of Poland, and to the Polish Council of the Meetings and Events Industry.
The organisations involved in the campaign emphasise that travelling in the proper sanitary regime can be safe for both customers and industry employees. The agencies which joined the “Safe Tourism” campaign meet the highest health standards and all their staff are vaccinated, which greatly increases the safety of customers.
They also have adequate knowledge concerning the safe travel and sanitary requirements which need to be met. The campaign sends a clear message to the customers: we are vaccinated, tourism is safe and our staff cares about the customers’ safety as well as their own.
We encourage you to download and use the graphic materials to promote the “Safe Tourism” campaign. All materials were prepared by Norbert Wawrzyniak, member of the National Association of Travel Agents and owner of the tourist agency and advertising agency Studio74.com.pl. The graphic materials can be used free of charge by anyone who wants to participate in the campaign and promote “Safe Tourism”. They are available on the website of the “Safe Tourism” campaign.
The campaign is currently carried out in Polish and English, with plans to be extended to other languages soon.
