POT promoted Poland at EU Kids Day in Austria
Polish Tourism Organisation took part in the sixth edition of the EU Kids Day organized by the Media Guide Events publishing house and the Economic Chamber of Lower Austria.
On 12 June the Media Guide Events publishing house joined forces with the Economic Chamber of Lower Austria to stage the sixth edition of the EU Kids Day event held in the Chamber’s office. Attracting more than 1,000 primary and secondary school students from Lower Austria, the meeting was intended to introduce them to the idea of the European Union and the principles of its operations.
As part of the EU Kids Day, delegates of particular embassies and tourism organisations presented their countries and tourist highlights, showcasing them via information stands. In addition, each of the exhibitors staged workshops and presentations promoting their countries among the participating young people.
Polish Tourism Organisation International Office in Vienna prepared a special multimedia presentation focusing on key tourist highlights of our country. A short course of Polish interlaced with promo videos and information about Poland attracted a lot of attention.
Particularly active workshop participants were awarded with small souvenirs, while sets of promotional materials and sweets were prepared for all attendees. During the event POT delegates also presented teachers with information on how to obtain the International Office’s support in the arrangement of presentations, projects and school trips to Poland.
Finally, with all participants in mind the event organisers prepared sets of promotional materials together with a publication presenting particular European Union member states. The Polish input into the brochure was entirely prepared by the Vienna-based Polish Tourism Organisation International Office.
