Poland’s Tourism Offering at Arabian Travel Market 2021
The Arabian Travel Market 2021 in Dubai was organised in hybrid form due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Polish Tourism Organisation prepared a national stand promoting a wide range of stays in big cities, Polish health resorts and hotels, tourism close to nature, and catering services.
An international tourism trade show, Arabian Travel Market 2021 began on Sunday, 16 May. This year the event was organised in hybrid mode: the first three days, up to 19 May, took place at the show venue, after which the event moved online between 24 and 26 May.
The show was held in the most stringent sanitary regimen, participants being obliged to maintain social distancing, wear mouth and nose coverings, and disinfect their hands. Printed publications and brochures could only be distributed as laminated and disinfected products, by people wearing gloves. That is why most of the exhibitors decided against leaflets in favour of QR codes for downloading the publications.
The Polish national stand occupied 40 sq. m, on which tourism products were also presented by the POT’s partners: the Małopolska Tourism Organisation, the Warsaw Tourism Organisation, the City of Kraków, LOT Polish Airlines, and the Horyzont travel agency.
The showcased products included stays in big cities, tourism close to nature, catering services, the offering of Polish health resorts as well as a wide offering from Polish hotels. LOT Polish Airlines promoted its new direct flights between Warsaw and Dubai, which will be launched soon, on 19 September.
The most questions were asked about the offered range of trips to Poland, cooperation with Polish DMCs and tour operators, visiting Poland during the pandemic, and visa issues.
