Launch of “New-Tech - New Travel” competition for start-ups in tourism

New technologies in the Polish Tourism Organisation involve not only VR Polska 360-degree films, but also a prestigious competition for start-ups active in tourism. The second edition of “New Tech - New Travel”, in which we award young and dynamically developing Polish firms whose driving force is innovation in tourism, begins today.

“After the impressive success of the first edition of the ‘New Tech - New Travel’ competition it is time to once again seek new talented start-ups. Our objective is to discover and promote innovative technological solutions that facilitate traveling, improve tourism management, and enable the promotion of Polish firms and tourist regions. We focus on the energy and creativity of young Polish technological firms looking for their place in the market”, says President of the Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) Robert Andrzejczyk.

The online form is already available since 30 November on www.new.travel.pl., together with competition rules. Start-ups can submit their products in two competition categories: B2B and B2C. It is important that the submitted auteur solutions must be intended for tourists or entities of the tourism industry, innovatively support their development and promotion, or facilitate the management of business processes in tourism. We shall be waiting for the applications until 15 January.

Attractive prizes include two vouchers worth 5,000 PLN each for additional training selected by the finalist or a professional exam, a dedicated online campaign, and the right to present the winning product at important tourism events.

The organizer of the competition is the Polish Tourism Organisation.

The winners will be announced at the TOUR SALON 2018 Trade Fair of Regions and Tourist Products.
