Polish Tourism Organisation participated in the Salon Tourisme Voyages international tourism and travel show, which wrapped up in Montreal. The event is among the largest meetings of its kind in Canada and one of the most important ones in North America.

Polish Tourism Organisation took part in Quality Travel Fair in Copenhagen, a popular event in the Danish market. The Polish stand was visited by a record-breaking number of guests.

Queen Louise Adit mining complex in Zabrze, which in 2018 received the prestigious POT Certificate, is now among the Grand Prix laureates of 2019 European Heritage Awards/Europa Nostra Awards (conservation category).

A group of travel agents from Ukraine stayed in Małopolska at the invitation of POT. Staged in cooperation with Małopolska Tourist Organisation, the trip was intended to showcase Poland’s top wintertime highlights.

Broadcast by Italian television channel RAI 3 in a Sunday primetime slot, a programme covering two Polish cities - Poznań and Gdańsk - was influenced by a trip undertaken by journalist Sibillia Damiani, who visited Poland at the invitation of Polish Tourism Organisation.

On 6-8 November Polish Tourist Organisation staged workshops aimed at venues belonging to the EDEN (European Destinations of Excellence) network, winners of the 2019 competition for the Best European Destination. This time the meeting was hosted by Gołdap, laureate of this year’s edition in the medical tourism and wellness category.

Toruń, Inowrocław and Ciechocinek hosted representatives of the Russian tourism industry, who arrived to participate in the 16th edition of the Polish-Russian Tourist Forum ETO POLSHA! The list of discussed issues included the tourist potential of the region of Kujawsko-Pomorskie (Kuyavia and Pomerania) and the growing number of tourists from Russia.

Polish health resorts, orthopaedic, rehabilitation and cardiology clinics plus dental offices acted as the basis of the medical tourism offer promoted by Polish Tourism Organisation at the World Travel Market 2019 trade show. Poland arranged the largest healthcare-centred presentation at the London event.

The second edition of Tourism Blogging Championship staged by Polish Tourism Organisation is now over. The first place went to Anita and Paweł Skowera running the 101countriesbefore50 blog. The married couple based in Pińczów also carried out an additional task commissioned by the competition’s official partner - PKP Intercity railway company.  The total pool of the competition’s prizes amounted to more than 120,000 PLN. First-place winners received prizes valued at more than 30,000 PLN.

Polish Tourism Organisation participated in Polish Days staged by the National Polish Self-Government in Hungary. The objective of the event was to promote Polish culture, handicraft, cuisine and tourist highlights.
